In 1988 Denny got married to Carol just before the Dayton River Corridor Classic began, and the entire wedding party ran the race that year.
For many years Carol and Denny were the heart and soul of the running and race administration in the Dayton area.
Their contributions to the Ohio River Road Runners Club have been incredible serving as many different positions including, Denny as the president, and Carol as the Secretary.
For 7 years they were the race directors for one of the largest and most prestigious races in Ohio, the ORRRC Thanksgiving Turkey Trot, one of the 10 largest 8K races in the US.
Voted race directors of the year many times for their efforts.
Were both very inspirational to members of the community to both start running and to keep running.
Denny has run and completed 53 Marathons to date, he did not start running Marathons until he was 40 years old, he is 63 now.
Denny has been on Bellbrook City Council for the past 13 years and serves as Chairman of the Service Committee and enjoys serving his community in a variety of ways.
Denny worked for Xerox Corp as a service technician for 30 years and has been retired for the past 8 years.
Denny started up his own Web Site Development company, developing, publishing and maintaining web sites for people who don't not want to take care of their own web sites.
Denny lives in Bellbrook with his wife Carol and 2 cats.
